Laura Rajala works with adults. She is board certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and is a Certified Clinical Trauma specialist.

Laura has experience working with a wide range of mental health struggles, including LGBTQ, gender, and sexual identity issues, depression and mood disorders, anxiety, suicidal ideation, first responders, complex trauma and abuse, ADHD, post-partum depression, and parenting/relationship issues.

Laura uses an integration of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), to meet each client where they are with what fits them best for treatment. She believes every person has the ability to learn and grow and has the resilience to heal while facing adversity at times. She believes clients know themselves best, but sometimes need guidance from an outside perspective to discover themselves in a different, healthier way.

Education

Laura Rajala received her undergraduate degree (BA Human Services) and minor (Psychology) from Upper Iowa University and graduate degree (MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Capella University.
