Psychiatric Medication Management Services

Comprehensive medication management to help treat mental health conditions, improve symptoms, and support your overall treatment plan.

What is Medication Management?

Psychiatric medications can play an important role in treating mental health conditions. Medications help manage symptoms, improve mood, reduce distress, and make it easier for people to take part in therapy. This can lead to better daily functioning and a higher quality of life. The most effective treatment plans often combine medication with therapy and healthy lifestyle changes.

Conditions Treated

Our providers offer medication management to help treat and/or manage a range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar disorder)
  • Anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, social anxiety, panic)
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder and related disorders (e.g., hair pulling, skin picking)
  • Eating disorders
  • Personality disorders (e.g., borderline personality disorder)
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders

Process and Approach

Our prescribing providers view medication management as one part of your overall treatment plan, along with therapy and healthy lifestyle changes. They take a team-based approach by helping you understand how medication may support your treatment, sharing information about your options, and working with you to make decisions that match your personal goals.

If your first appointment at The Psychology Center is with a prescribing provider, they will talk with you to see if therapy may also be helpful, depending on the severity of your symptoms. If you are already seeing a therapist somewhere else, our providers would like to work with them to help create the best treatment plan for you.
