Heiðrún Jenný Smáradóttir (Heidi), LPC, LMFT-IT (she/her), is a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist (in training) who works with adults and couples in individual and relational therapy. She has experience supporting clients with a range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, identity development, and relationship distress. Heidi specializes in working with neurodivergent individuals and LGBTQ+ clients, and brings a culturally grounded, affirming, and trauma-informed lens to all her work. She also helps clients navigate life transitions, self-esteem challenges, emotional regulation, and personal growth with compassion and curiosity.

Heidi is certified as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and incorporates person-centered, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed, and neurodivergence-affirming approaches into her clinical work. She strives to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves, deepen their connections, and move toward lasting change.

Education

Heiðrún earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from John F. Kennedy University in California. She completed her clinical training in the Bay Area and currently practices in Wisconsin. Born and raised in Iceland, Heiðrún brings a cross-cultural perspective to her clinical work and draws on both U.S. and Icelandic influences in her therapeutic approach.
