Molly Kring is a licensed counseling psychologist who offers individual therapy to adults struggling with a wide range of mental health concerns. Particular areas of interest include trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and women’s health issues. Dr. Kring approaches psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective that emphasizes exploring how clients’ early attachment relationships impact how they relate to others and themselves, and reworking these interpersonal patterns in the therapeutic relationship. Her style focuses on collaboratively understanding the roots of clients’ distress, and processing vulnerable emotions with empathy, compassion, and curiosity. Dr. Kring has received specialized training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD.

Education

Dr. Kring received her B.A. in English and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Clement J. Zablocki Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee and her post-doctoral training at Westside Psychotherapy in Madison.
