John Bruner, PhD
Dr. Bruner has interests in psychological testing across the life course for issues such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and clarifying diagnosis. Dr. Bruner works with adults in individual therapy on issues including anger, grief, loss, sexual and gender minority issues, assertiveness, and substance abuse. Dr. Bruner uses a variety of therapy techniques, including behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and multicultural/feminist therapy techniques to address the whole person. Dr. Bruner primarily works with adults (18+) but also provides psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Bruner strives to take a non-judgmental and open approach to working with clients, and attempts to integrate and understand how all aspects of a person’s life, health, and culture impact their psychological functioning.
