Dr. Holt has a breadth of experience treating children and adolescents (generally 5-17), adults, and families with a variety of presenting concerns. She specializes in the treatment of trauma, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, grief, self-concept development, stress management, and adjustment to transition. Dr. Holt uses an integrative therapeutic approach, tailoring treatment to best fit the needs and values of every individual. As a therapist, Dr. Holt’s intention is to provide a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, support clients through life challenges, and help clients discover how to live authentically and vitally in a complex world. She believes that therapy should be a meaningful and life-changing process for the individual, and much of her work incorporates the use of mindfulness techniques stemming from her training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A mindfulness-based approach to treatment focuses on altering the individual’s sense of suffering in service of increasing purpose and connection to the world.

Dr. Holt conducts psychology evaluations for children (generally 5+), adolescents, and adults. She provides the following type of assessments: autism spectrum evaluations, learning disorder evaluations, intellectual functioning, memory functioning, ADHD evaluations, personality and emotional functioning.
