Matt Schneider, PhD works with adults and adolescents (14+) in both individual and couples therapy. Matt treats a wide range of issues, with specialties in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, helping those experiencing suicidality, and using behavioral sleep medicine to treat sleep-wake disorders. Beyond these areas, Matt has a plethora of experience treating depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, sexual dysfunctions, gender exploration, and relational difficulties. Matt utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, using elements of various evidence-based practices to match the treatment to the individual. Matt is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy, Transdiagnostic Sleep and Circadian Rhythm Therapy for Insomnia, mindfulness, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Process Based Therapy.

Education

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lawrence University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Florida State University. He completed an internship at the University of Wisconsin - Madison Department of Psychiatry.
